About the Journal

Doh Gisin is an open-access scientific journal published biannually in June and December by Mulawarman University. It is proudly managed by the Center for Gender Equality and Child Protection Research (Pusat Penelitian Kesetaraan Gender dan Perlindungan Anak/P2KGPA) Universitas Mulawarman and saw its first publication in 2024.

The term Doh Gisin derived from the Dayak language, powerfully symbolizes a woman who is strong and resilient both in thought and action in facing life's challenges and complexities. This spirit deeply reflects the journal's commitment to addressing critical issues related to gender, women, and and children through rigorous scholarly and multidisciplinary approaches.

Doh Gisin specifically focuses on original, innovative, and impactful empirical research findings related to gender, women, and children. We aim to disseminate relevant knowledge and to provide a framework for social transformation in gender equality and child protection.

The journal welcomes submissions from a wide array of academic disciplines, including: Sociology, Psychology, Law, Science and Technology, Medicine, Education, Language and Literature, Culture, and other relevant fields of study. We are particularly interested in research that explores:
