Vol. 5 No. 2 (2026) contains a collection of scientific research conducted by lecturers, researchers, and students from various institutions, including Mulawarman University, IPB University, Hasanuddin University, Republic of Indonesia Defense University, Indonesian Marine Biodiversity Economy Foundation (YEKHALI), as well as independent researchers. The research presented covers various aspects of aquatic ecosystems, fisheries, and marine affairs, including an analysis of lead (Pb) and copper (Cu) heavy metal content in the waters of Balikpapan Bay; habitat characteristics and morphometrics of the sea star (Archaster typicus) in the seagrass ecosystem of Balikpapan Bay; identification and abundance of macro and meso-sized marine debris at Teluk Lingga Beach, East Kutai Regency; morphometric characteristics and gonad weight of sea urchins (Diadema setosum) in the seagrass beds of Badak-Badak Island, Bontang; characteristics and water quality status of the Sangatta River, East Kutai, based on the Pollution Index and STORET methods; the effect of fermenting Azolla microphylla meal with EM4 and Aquaenzyms on feed conversion and growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus); spatial analysis of the economic welfare of fishers and aquaculture farmers in Kutai Kartanegara Regency using a commodity exchange value approach; the implementation of UTide (Unified Tidal Analysis and Prediction) tidal analysis supported by artificial intelligence; conflicts over marine spatial utilization and their implications for national maritime security; local ecological knowledge of seagrass social-ecological systems and its implications for conservation and management; and the identification of macro debris in the coastal tourism area of Tarakan City, North Kalimantan. The discussions presented are comprehensive and scientific, making them useful for the community and enriching the body of knowledge in fisheries and marine sciences, particularly in East Kalimantan and surrounding regions.
