Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Board of Jurnal Tropical Aquatic Sciences (TAS) ensures that every manuscript submitted is an original work, has not been published elsewhere, and is not currently under consideration by any other journal. We are fully committed to upholding academic integrity and preventing any form of plagiarism.
Screening Process: All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism and text similarities using Turnitin software before proceeding to the peer-review stage.
Similarity Index Tolerance:
-
The maximum allowable similarity index is 20%.
-
The similarity from a single source must not exceed 3%-5%.
-
If the similarity index is found between 21% and 40%, the author will be requested to paraphrase and revise the text before further processing.
-
Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 40% or showing evidence of direct plagiarism/data fabrication will be immediately rejected.
Post-Publication Plagiarism: If plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal will conduct a thorough investigation following COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. If proven, the article will be formally retracted from the journal website.
