Publication Ethics

Panakeia Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The following ethical guidelines apply to all parties involved in the publication process: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

1. Authors' Responsibilities

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and properly cite or quote the work of others. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript.
  • Authorship: Only individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. All listed authors must have agreed to the submission and publication of the manuscript.
  • Data Access and Retention: Authors must be prepared to provide the raw data related to their research for editorial review and should retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
  • Reporting Standards: Authors are expected to present their research accurately and objectively. Fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate statements are considered unethical behavior.

2. Editors' Responsibilities

  • Fair Play: Editors evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, or political philosophy of the authors.
  • Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or other editorial advisers.
  • Publication Decisions: The Editor in Chief is responsible for deciding which of the submitted manuscripts will be published, based on the importance, originality, and clarity of the work as well as the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s scope.

3. Reviewers' Responsibilities

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others, except as authorized by the editor.
  • Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, and reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their objectivity in reviewing a manuscript, such as collaborative or competitive relationships with any of the authors.

4. Publisher's Responsibilities

  • Monitoring Ethical Practices: The publisher works closely with the editors to ensure that the journal operates according to the highest standards of ethical practices.
  • Handling Misconduct: In cases of suspected or proven scientific misconduct, fraudulent publication, or plagiarism, the publisher, in collaboration with the editors, will take appropriate measures, such as issuing retractions or corrections.

By adhering to these ethical standards, Panakeia Journal ensures the integrity and quality of the academic record.
