About the Journal

JTESH: Journal of Tropical Environmental & Sustainable Health is a scientific open-access journal published by the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Mulawarman. The journal serves as a platform for disseminating research findings from academics, practitioners, researchers, and government agencies, particularly in the field of tropical environmental and sustainable health.

JTESH is published twice a year (June and December) and managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) to ensure transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in the publication process.

The journal covers a broad range of topics in environmental health and its determinants, including water quality, sanitation, waste management, environmental pollution, climate change, environmental-related diseases, food safety and nutrition, environmental toxicology, vector-borne diseases, risk assessment and management, environmental health promotion, and one health approach. It also encompasses urban and rural environmental health, innovative environmental health technologies, socio-economic and cultural dimensions, as well as environmental sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

JTESH aims to become a reputable international platform for high-quality scientific publications. Published in English, the journal upholds high academic standards. All submitted manuscripts must comply with the journal guidelines and will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements will be rejected prior to review.
