Abstract

Stunting and polio are two significant health issues that remain a challenge in Indonesia, including in Lebak Cilong District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The Community Service Program (KKN) of Mulawarman University aims to provide solutions through community engagement activities focusing on preventing stunting and polio. These activities include public education, child height measurement, maternal abdominal circumference monitoring, provision of nutritious food, and efforts to maintain environmental cleanliness. The results show increased community understanding of the importance of nutrition, immunization, and sanitation to support optimal child growth and development. This community-based intervention program actively involves various community elements, including posyandu cadres and healthcare workers, to provide practical solutions and sustainable education. Through a holistic approach, the program delivers immediate impacts and fosters broader awareness of the importance of preventing stunting and polio. The success of this program is expected to serve as an initial step in reducing stunting rates and ensuring a healthier future generation in Lebak Cilong District.
