This study aims to analyze the implementation of Good Enough Governance in public service delivery at the Public Service Mall (Mal Pelayanan Publik/MPP) of Samarinda City. The research focuses on the implementation of the principles of pragmatism over perfection, prioritization over comprehensiveness, and contextual adaptation over uniformity, as well as the factors that hinder its implementation. This study employed a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach through interviews, observations, and documentation.
The research results indicate that the implementation of Good Enough Governance at the Public Service Mall of Samarinda City has been carried out quite well through efforts to maintain service continuity, prioritize services based on public needs, and adapt service delivery by utilizing digital services and service innovations. However, its implementation still faces several internal and external constraints, including limited human resources and infrastructure, suboptimal inter-agency coordination, a sectoral work culture (silo mentality), and the public’s limited understanding of digital services. This study concludes that public service delivery at the Public Service Mall of Samarinda City reflects the principles of Good Enough Governance, although strengthening institutional capacity and inter-agency coordination remains necessary to further improve service quality.
