Differences in Production Performance of Local Rabbits Given Papaya Leaf Flour (Carica papaya L.) Feed Additive

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze differences in production performance (feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion, and liver weight) of local rabbits given a feed additive of papaya leaf flour in the ration. The treatment used was the provision of feed rations with different levels of papaya leaf flour (TDP) for each treatment. P0: without additional TDP; P1: 2% level; P2: 4% content; P3: 8% content. The analysis used is Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). If there is a significant effect, continue with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that papaya leaf flour was not significantly different (P<0.05) to feed conversion and very significantly different (P<0.01) to feed consumption and significantly different to PBBH and liver weight (P<0.05). The highest average was found in P3 with feed consumption of 56.9 g, PBBH 26 g and liver weight of 33 g. The lowest mean was at P0 with feed consumption of 47.9 g and PBBH value of 21.5 g and liver weight of 28 g. The conclusion is that giving a feed additive of papaya leaf flour with a content of 8% gives optimal results by providing feed nutrients with a PK of 17.91%; SK 13.13 % ; FI 4.34 % ; EM 3047 kcal/kg ; TDN 58.27 % ; Calcium 0.74% and phosphorus 0.47%.
