Community service through the University Student Community Service Program provides students with opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in addressing community needs. The 52nd batch of the University of Mulawarman Community Service Program was conducted in Labanan Makarti Village, Teluk Bayur District, Berau Regency, East Kalimantan, for 41 days and involved 10 students. This program aimed to contribute to education, literacy, health, family support, and community activities through programs developed according to local needs. The implementation methods included observation, interviews, coordination, education, hands-on practice, community services, and evaluation. The programs consisted of financial education and saving practices for elementary school students, parenting psychoeducation for pregnant women and mothers of children aged 0–5 years, basic Microsoft Word training for madrasah students, community health screening, supplementary food distribution for underweight children, teaching activities in kindergarten and elementary school, and participation in community social activities. Evaluation of the three educational programs showed increased scores after the activities. Financial education increased by 5.75 points (p = 0.003), parenting psychoeducation increased by 11.21 points (p < 0.001), while Microsoft Word training showed the largest increase of 23.22 points (p < 0.001). Overall, the implementation demonstrates that educational approaches, hands-on practice, community services, and active community involvement can support programs that address local needs.
