Sumber Sari Village, Babulu District, North Penajam Paser Regency, has potential rice bran resources from rice milling by-products that are not optimally utilized and are generally used directly as livestock feed or sold as raw material. This community service program aimed to improve community knowledge and skills in processing rice bran into “Sariblok” mineral blocks while strengthening product value through product branding and financial education. The activity involved 21 participants representing local residents, farmer groups, and livestock breeders. The team used a participatory approach with educational sessions, demonstrations, hands-on product-making, label development, and financial education covering record-keeping, cost calculation, profit estimation, and pricing. The program resulted in the development of a rice bran-based Sariblok mineral block equipped with a product identity and label. Participants’ mean knowledge score increased from 76.19% in the pre-test to 94.28% in the post-test, representing an 18.09% improvement. The cost of goods sold was calculated at IDR 9,861.75 per unit, with an estimated selling price of IDR 12,327.19 per unit at a 25% profit margin. Participants also gained direct experience in the production process and expressed positive initial responses to Sariblok as a livestock feed supplement. This program demonstrates that utilizing rice bran through product innovation, branding, and financial education can serve as an alternative model for community empowerment based on local resources.
