Abstract

This community service activity aimed to support community empowerment in Mentawir Village, Sepaku District, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, through the integration of stunting prevention, financial literacy, and the strengthening of local tourism potential. The activities were conducted from July 13 to August 22, 2026, using educational, participatory, and community needs-based approaches. The stunting prevention program included education on stunting, balanced nutrition, and healthy living practices; the promotion of clean and healthy lifestyle habits among early childhood students; assistance in routine integrated health service activities; and the distribution of educational brochures. One of the healthy lifestyle activities conducted at Pelita Hati Kindergarten/Early Childhood Education Center involved practicing tooth brushing after meals. The financial literacy program introduced the concepts of needs and wants and was followed by a three-week saving practice involving 24 elementary school students. The tourism potential strengthening program included the development of a promotional video, the addition and improvement of four road segments and six location points on Google Maps, and the installation of four road signs. The activities generated educational experiences, practical activities, and physical and digital information outputs that supported community empowerment. The integration of the three programs addressed health and financial education while supporting the promotion and accessibility of information related to Mentawir's local potential.
