Abstract

The coastal settlement of Margasari faces structural challenges in the form of poor environmental sanitation, which triggers a high prevalence of stunting and stagnates the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. This community service aims to optimize the Clean, Green, and Healthy Program through multigenerational ecological interventions as a multidisciplinary solution to these problems. The method used is Participatory Action Research with a multi-level intervention approach from upstream, midstream, to downstream. The results show that fulfilling environmental health indicators through the provision of handwashing facilities and ovitraps, synergized with nutritional education breaks the infection chain causing stunting. In waste management and environmental innovation indicators, distributing composters and transforming organic onion peel waste into economically valuable Eco-Enzyme successfully fostered a circular economy for informal MSME actors. Greening indicators in limited coastal land were realized through multifunctional biopore installations and the cultivation of Family Medicinal Plants as a climate change adaptation measure. Comprehensive and participatory sanitation interventions are proven to mitigate stunting while empowering local MSMEs. The sustainability of this program requires policies for collaborative funding schemes through Corporate Social Responsibility.
