Sustainable development at the village level requires increasing community knowledge and providing information that is appropriate to local environmental conditions. The 52nd Community Service Program (KKN) of Mulawarman University in Long Nah Village, Muara Ancalong District, East Kutai Regency, was implemented through two main programs: Environmental Sanitation and Appropriate Technology and Energy. These activities aimed to provide environmental education to elementary school students through the utilization of used materials and to provide spatial information on flood and landslide susceptibility as a means of supporting community awareness and preparedness. The Environmental Sanitation program was conducted through educational activities, competitions, and recycling practices involving 24 students from grades 4–6 of SDN 011 Long Nah. The results showed high student enthusiasm in transforming used plastic bottles, straws, and cardboard into useful products, while providing students with direct experience in reusing materials. The Appropriate Technology program produced flood and landslide susceptibility maps of Long Nah Village using ArcGIS. The mapping identified areas with high to very high landslide susceptibility, particularly around RT 01 and RT 04, as well as several areas classified as susceptible and highly susceptible to flooding around RT 01, RT 04, and RT 05. The maps were subsequently displayed at public facilities in the village as an information medium for the community and village government. Overall, the two programs contributed to sustainable development through environmental education, increased awareness of disaster risks, and collaboration among students, schools, the village government, and the community.
