Abstract

The Clean, Green, and Healthy (CGH) program is an initiative aimed at encouraging community participation in maintaining environmental quality through cleanliness, greening, and healthy living practices. One of the challenges identified in the CGH-participating neighborhoods of Gunung Samarinda Baru Village, Balikpapan City, was the limited availability of information media that could help residents recognize plant species and understand their benefits. This community service activity aimed to develop a digital plant information platform through Flora Pedia, integrated with QR codes, as an environmental education medium. The implementation consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation stage included environmental observation, plant inventory and identification, literature review, development of the Flora Pedia website, and the creation and installation of QR codes for each recorded plant. The results showed that Flora Pedia was successfully developed as a digital information platform containing plant names, characteristics, and benefits. The QR codes attached to each plant serve as a link between the physical plant and its digital information, allowing users to access plant information independently through smartphone scanning. The presence of Flora Pedia not only facilitates access to plant-related information but also strengthens the educational function of community green spaces and supports the sustainability of the CGH program in Gunung Samarinda Baru Village.
