Abstract

Digitalization has become an important need for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to improve business presence and accessibility amid the development of information technology. A problem identified in Loa Sakoh Village was the limited presence of local businesses on digital platforms, particularly Google Maps, making information about business locations and profiles difficult for the community to find. This issue was also experienced by students participating in the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) before the implementation of the activity, when they encountered difficulties in finding local stores and businesses to fulfill their needs during the KKN program. This community service activity aimed to assist local business owners in Loa Sakoh Village in digitalizing their business locations through Google Maps. The activity was conducted through socialization and direct assistance using a door-to-door approach. The socialization was conducted on July 24, 2026, followed by business data collection and Google Maps registration starting on July 31, 2026. A total of 30 local businesses were identified, representing various types of businesses, with approximately 80% or 24 businesses successfully added to Google Maps. The assistance included entering business information, determining locations, selecting business categories, uploading photos, providing operating hours, and completing other relevant information. The results indicate that the assistance helped improve the digital presence and completeness of business information on the platform. This activity represents an effort to empower the local economy through the utilization of simple and accessible digital technology and supports the achievement of SDG 8 and SDG 9.
