Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) conducted in Santan Tengah Village, Marang Kayu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province aimed to strengthen economic independence and community governance literacy in Santan Tengah Village through three main programs: assistance with micro-business legality, financial management education, and education on preventing corrupt behavior. The activities were carried out using a participatory action research approach, actively involving the community from observation to evaluation. The results showed that in the economic independence pillar, the business assistance program successfully issued 30 Business Identification Number (NIB) documents directly through the integrated online registration system and produced a map of local micro-business distribution. In the financial education pillar, socialization activities for elementary and high school students significantly increased participants' understanding in distinguishing between needs and wants, managing pocket money, and shopping wisely in the digital age. Meanwhile, in the governance literacy pillar, anti-corruption education through interactive learning media has proven effective in raising students' awareness about the importance of honesty, discipline, and responsibility from an early age. Overall, the integration of this program has successfully promoted business legality, improved financial skills, and strengthened the culture of integrity at the village level, thereby boosting economic independence and governance literacy among the community in Santan Tengah Village.
