Financial literacy needs to be introduced from an early age so that students develop an initial understanding of money management and begin to build saving habits. The SAKU (Sadar Mengelola Keuangan) program was implemented as a savings education activity for elementary school students in Karang Mumus Urban Village, Samarinda City. This activity aimed to introduce basic concepts of money management, distinguish needs from wants, and encourage students to set aside part of their pocket money for savings. The activity involved 49 students from two elementary schools, with approaches adapted to the characteristics of the participants. At SD Katolik 3 WR Soepratman, 29 students participated through material delivery, interactive discussions, simulations, and digital quizzes. Evaluation was conducted through a pre-test and post-test. At SDN 005 Samarinda Kota, 20 students participated through material delivery, question-and-answer sessions, as well as drawing and coloring activities on savings boxes. The evaluation at SD Katolik 3 WR Soepratman showed an increase in the average score of 22.07 points. The paired sample t-test resulted in a p-value of 0.001, indicating a significant difference in students' knowledge before and after the savings education. At SDN 005 Samarinda Kota, the activity demonstrated active student participation through question-and-answer sessions during the material delivery, as well as drawing and coloring activities on savings boxes. The SAKU program serves as an educational approach to introduce saving concepts and basic money management to elementary school students through interactive and creative approaches.
