The village of Rantau Panjang, in Sambaliung Subdistrict, Berau Regency, faces three main challenges: suboptimal household waste management, low awareness of noncommunicable disease (NCD) screening, and low digital literacy among elementary school students. The 52nd Community Service Program (KKN) of Mulawarman University was implemented to address these issues through three programs: SAPA SEHAT, Environmental Sanitation, and CERDIK BERBAGI. The SAPA SEHAT program was carried out through door-to-door health screenings in collaboration with the Sambaliung Community Health Center (Puskesmas). The Environmental Sanitation program was implemented through an outreach session on waste sorting and the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), attended by 22 residents; pre- and post-test evaluations showed an average score increase from 65.17 to 89.31 (a rise of 24.14 points, or approximately 37%). The CERDIK BERBAGI program was implemented through digital literacy education for 30 fifth- and sixth-grade students, covering an introduction to iKaltim, critical literacy regarding facts and hoaxes, digital ethics, and the “Fact or Hoax Detective” game; pre-test and post-test results showed an average score increase of 26.4 points (from 58.3 to 84.7) . The results of the activity show that a participatory educational approach which combines outreach, discussions, demonstrations, and games effectively increases community knowledge in a short period of time; therefore, ongoing support is needed so that this increased knowledge can lead to behavioral changes that promote healthier, cleaner, and more digitally savvy lifestyles.
