Abstract

This community service activity aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the "Cinta, Bangga, Paham (CBP) Rupiah" socialization program in enhancing financial literacy among elementary school students in Muara Jawa Ilir Village. The activity was conducted across three elementary schools (SDN 007, SDN 013, and SDN 003), targeting 5th and 6th-grade students. The socialization focused on identifying genuine currency, distinguishing needs from wants, managing pocket money, and fostering early saving habits. Using a pre-test and post-test design, the community service activity measured changes in students' understanding. The results demonstrated a significant increase in average scores across all participating classes. For instance, at SDN 007, post-test scores rose from 8.35 to 8.91 for 5th graders and 8.67 to 9.17 for 6th graders. Similar upward trends were observed at SDN 013 and SDN 003. These findings conclude that interactive socialization of the CBP Rupiah program is an effective method for improving financial literacy and financial behavior in elementary-aged children.
