Abstract

The Collaborative Community Service Program (KKN) in Loa Duri Ulu Village, Loa Janan Subdistrict, Kutai Kartanegara Regency aims to improve the community’s quality of life and self-reliance through a series of community service programs focused on environmental sanitation, financial education, and food safety. This region faces challenges such as suboptimal household waste management in residential areas, economic hardship following mass layoffs which has left residents vulnerable to online loan scams and online gambling as well as a lack of understanding among schoolchildren regarding food safety. The program’s implementation methods include hands-on upcycling training, educational outreach, and interactive presentations. There are three programs: (1) repurposing used plastic bottle caps into keychains, (2) awareness campaigns on online lending and online gambling, and (3) food safety awareness sessions at SDN 006 Loa Janan based on materials from the Indonesian Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM). The results of the activities show that these programs have proven effective in generating positive social, economic, and environmental impacts for the community of Loa Duri Ulu Village.
