Abstract

English is an essential skill that needs to be mastered from an early age in order to face the development of science and the challenges of globalization. However, the implementation of English learning at the elementary school level, particularly in rural areas such as Lekaq Kidau Village, still encounters several obstacles. Limited learning facilities, lack of variety in teaching methods, and monotonous learning patterns often lead to low student motivation. As a result, English is often perceived as a difficult and boring subject. To address these challenges, the 51st KKN Team of Universitas Mulawarman carried out the English Fun Day program at SDN 026 Sebulu, Lekaq Kidau Village, under the theme “English Fun Day: Laugh and Learn with Educative Games.” This program was designed to create an enjoyable learning atmosphere through a combination of basic English material and educational games. The results of this activity showed that English Fun Day successfully fostered a fun and meaningful learning environment, while also making a real contribution to improving the English skills of elementary school students in Lekaq Kidau Village.
