The 2025 Thematic Community Service Program (KKN) of Universitas Mulawarman was carried out in Segoi Makmur Village, Sika Makmur Village, and Sumber Sari Village, Long Mesangat District, East Kutai Regency, with a primary focus on collecting data for the Surat Tanda Daftar Budidaya (STDB). STDB is a legal document that provides legal certainty for smallholders and serves as a basis for government support, empowerment, and protection of plantation activities. This study aimed to follow up on the incomplete STDB data collection in 2024 while also conducting new data collection for 2025. The method applied was a participatory approach involving community socialization, door-to-door interviews, and documentation of farmers’ administrative data. The results show that the follow-up on 2024 data successfully completed 70 records in Segoi Makmur Village and 48 records in Sika Makmur Village, totaling 118 records. Meanwhile, the new data collection in 2025 recorded 28 entries in Segoi Makmur Village, 11 entries in Sika Makmur Village, and 16 entries in Sumber Sari Village, resulting in a total of 173 data entries. These findings highlight that Segoi Makmur had the highest number of farmers, while Sumber Sari has only recently been accommodated in the STDB program. Overall, this activity not only produced a more accurate database to support the issuance of STDB certificates but also emphasized the importance of synergy among KKN students, local government, and communities in strengthening legal, transparent, and sustainable plantation governance.
