The community service program was successfully implemented in Tepian Langsat Village, Bengalon District, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province. Tepian Langsat Village is situated along a river, where a portion of the population continues to dispose of household waste into the waterway, particularly used cooking oil that is often discarded indiscriminately. The primary objective of this study on the production of candles from used cooking oil is to minimize household waste disposal and to provide education regarding the health and environmental risks associated with the repeated use of cooking oil. The outcomes of the training activities demonstrated a positive impact on the local community by encouraging the reutilization of household waste. Furthermore, this initiative is expected to enhance public awareness of the importance of preserving and maintaining the surrounding environment in a more sustainable manner.
