Waste management remains a global challenge, including in the growing tourist village area. Wonosari Tourism Village, located in Sepaku Sub-district, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, faces the problem of increasing waste volume along with tourism activities, which if not managed can damage the image of tourism while threatening environmental sustainability. To answer this challenge, the Mulawarman University Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) implemented a waste management innovation programme through three main activities, namely the manufacture of eco enzyme, the use of eco brick into eco booths, and the installation of waste age education signs. The activity method was carried out by surveying and preparation followed by counselling, hands-on practice, and community participation in each stage of the programme. The results of the programme showed the active involvement of the community in processing organic waste into eco enzyme, making 110 ecobricks assembled as an eco booth in the Goa Tapak Raja tourist area, and installing educational signs at SDN 012 Sepaku as a means of environmental literacy. In addition to creating useful physical products, this activity also helped the community better understand the importance of managing organic and inorganic waste in a creative, innovative and environmentally friendly way.
