Socialization of the Production of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) from Lactic Acid, Amino Acid, and Calcium in Bontang Lestari, Bontang City, East Kalimantan

Abstract

A community service program was implemented in Bontang Lestari Village, Bontang City, East Kalimantan. This activity focused on socialization and training in the production og Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) based on lactic acid, amino acid, and calsium as envitonmentally friendly fertilizer alternative. The implementation method employed a participatory approach, including outreach, demonstrations, and group discussions. The result of the activity showed the participants were able to understand the benefits of POC, identify local raw materials that could be used, and independently practice the process of making liquid organic fertilizer. This program is expected to reduce the community’s dependence of chemical fertilizers and support sustainable agriculture.
