Abstract

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata, KKN) is a practical implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in community engagement. This KKN activity conducted in Tengin Baru Village, Sepaku District, Penajam Paser Utara Regency aims to contribute to health, economic, social, leadership, and environmental sectors. The implemented programs include leadership and organizational management, hydration education through infused water demonstrations, financial literacy via saving practices and simple business plan development, social conflict management debate forums, and NDVI mapping based on satellite imagery to monitor vegetation changes from 2020 to 2025. The methods employed a participatory and educational approach, combining material presentations, discussions, simulations, interviews, and spatial analysis. The results demonstrate an increased community understanding of the importance of leadership, health, financial management, and conflict resolution strategies. NDVI mapping indicates a decline in dense vegetation cover and an increase in non-vegetated areas, correlating with the accelerated development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN). Therefore, this KKN activity not only provides direct benefits to the community but also produces data supporting decision-making for the development of the IKN buffer village. This program contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through socio-economic empowerment and environmental preservation.
