The main problem faced by the community in Long Iram Seberang Village, Long Iram District, West Kutai Regency, is the absence of street and alley signboards that serve as identity markers and navigation aids. This condition often creates difficulties for both residents and visitors in finding their destinations, which in turn hampers the smooth running of social, economic, and public service activities. To address this issue, students from Mulawarman University, through the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata or KKN), implemented the Design and Installation of Directional Signboards (PAJALIS) from August 1 to 7, 2025. The program was carried out in three main stages: preparation (coordination with village officials and field surveys), production (cutting, assembly, and design of the signboards using CorelDRAW), and finishing and installation (lettering and placement of the signboards at strategic points). The results showed the successful creation and installation of 15 signboards, which significantly improved navigation for residents and visitors, strengthened village identity, and fostered collaboration among students, village officials, and the community. The presence of these signboards has proven to be highly beneficial for the local community, who responded positively and expressed the hope that similar initiatives could be extended to other aspects of village development. Moreover, the installation of street and alley signboards is expected to provide long-term benefits for Long Iram Seberang Village.
