Abstract

Community service activities in Brewe Village, Long Ikis District, Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, were carried out with the aim of supporting community empowerment through strengthening local potential and enhancing environmental awareness comprehensively. The implemented programs focused on two main areas: mentoring in Anjat woven craft businesses and the creation of educational boards on waste decomposition. Business mentoring emphasized strengthening business identity and digital marketing strategies based on the Business Model Canvas through logo creation, business naming, banner design, and social media account management to significantly improve competitiveness and market reach. Meanwhile, the educational board program involved designing, creating, and installing information boards in strategic village locations, accompanied by simple socialization activities for the community and elementary school students regarding waste types and decomposition time. The results indicated that business mentoring successfully reinforced branding, enhanced partner readiness in utilizing digital media for promotion, and expanded marketing networks. The educational boards effectively fostered community awareness of waste management and encouraged environmentally friendly behavior. Overall, the community service activities in Brewe Village positively contributed to supporting community independence, preserving local culture, and promoting sustainable environmental behavior. Involvement of youth and school children demonstrated potential for regeneration in maintaining cultural values while building environmental awareness from an early age. Therefore, these activities not only provide short-term benefits for partners and the community but also open opportunities for program sustainability if supported by cross-sector collaboration. The implications of these activities suggest that integrating creative economic empowerment and environmental education can serve as a relevant model of community service applicable in other villages with similar potential.
