Abstract

Nutritional problems remain a major public health issue in Indonesia, including in coastal areas such as Muara Badak Ulu Village, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. Data from the local health center indicate that the prevalence of stunting is still relatively high, requiring nutrition education programs that are easily understood by the community. This community service activity aimed to improve public understanding of balanced nutrition through the Isi Piringku: My Plate, My Health program. The implementation consisted of four stages: observation (14–20 July 2025), development of educational media (21–27 July 2025), program implementation (16 August 2025), and evaluation (17–20 August 2025). The health education was delivered using lectures, interactive discussions, and educational media such as leaflets, posters, and games. The results showed high community participation, with 39 attendees, and 80% of participants were able to understand the concept of a healthy plate composition as well as the principle of limiting sugar, salt, and fat consumption. In conclusion, the Isi Piringku program was effective in increasing community knowledge of balanced nutrition and serves as a community empowerment strategy for stunting prevention at the village level.
