Upaya Meningkatkan Keberhasilan Asi Eksklusif Melalui Pemberdayaan Kader dengan Pemberian Edukasi Booklet "Sidara" (Laktasi dan Perawatan Payudara)

Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi pada balita banyak sekali, diantaranya adalah pendapatan, pengetahuan gizi ibu, akses pelayanan kesehatan, kejadian diare, pemberian ASI ekslusif, sumber air bersih, pola asuh orang tua, Nutrisi pada masa kehamilan dan berat bayi lahir rendah (BBLR). Kurangnya pengetahuan tentang laktasi dan perawatan payudara menyebabkan angka ASI eksklusif pada ibu menyusui rendah atau bahkan gagal dalam program menyusui bayinya.
Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pemberdayaan kader kesehatan Posyandu Balita di RW 15 Kelurahan Banjarsari Surakarta dapat memahami tentang laktasi dan perawatan payudara selama menyusui sehingga dapat memberikan pengetahuan kepada ibu menyusui atau ibu yang habis melahirkan sebagai upaya untuk mendukung keberhasilan ASI eksklusif.
Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan serta pelatihan tentang laktasi dan perawatan payudara terhadap kader kesehatan Posyandu Balita di RW 15 Kelurahan Banjarsari Surakarta dihadiri oleh 15 kader kesehatan.
Hasil pengabdian masyarakat adalah peningkatan pemahaman kader tentang laktasi dan perawatan payudara dalam menunjang keberhasilan ASI Eksklusif di Desa Banjarsari.
