Publication Ethics

Abdimas Mulawarman is a journal based on the results of community service activities in various health fields, including: Public Health Science, Medical Science, Nursing Science, Pharmacy, Obstetrics, Other related disciplines. Abdimas Mulawarman  committed to the ethical standards set for all entities involved in the publication of article.

In order to maintain high ethical standards in every research publication at Abdimas Mulawarman, publishers strive to cooperate at all times with journal editors, authors and peer-reviewers. For each research article involving human and/or experimental animals, the author must include ethical clearence from the official ethical commission at each research location.

The ethical standards for editors, authors, and reviewers  of Abdimas Mulawarman as follows:

Editors’ Responsibilities

  1. The Editor is responsible for every article published in Abdimas Mulawarman
  2. The editors communicate with editorial team and reviewers in making a final decision.
  3. Editor assess a potential conflict of interest in manuscript publication.
  4. Editors must make sure the blind review process runs as it should
  5. The editor communicates the publication decision in Abdimas Mulawarman and the results of the article review to the author.
  6. The Editorial team ensure the confidentiality of the submitted manuscript.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

  1. Reviewers comment on the possibility of errors in all aspect of the manuscript and ethical research.
  2. Reviewers should complete the job according to the schedule given by the editor
  3. Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript.
  4. Reviewers may not accept and review the manuscript if there is a potential conflict of interest between the reviewer and the author.

Authors’ Responsibility

  1. The author must ensure that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere and has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere.
  2. The author must ensure that all references cited according to standard rules.
  3. Authors must state that the manuscripts sent to JKMM are original and free from any kind of plagiarism.
  4. The author is obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the research respondent's identity which refers to the ethical clearance that has been obtained.
  5. The author must write an acknowledgment to every person or institution involved in the research.
  6. Only those who contribute to the research process and the writing of research results/manuscripts are registered as authors.
