Edukasi Pentingnya Menjaga Kesehatan Gigi dan Mulut pada Anak Kelas 3 Sekolah Dasar di SDN Kauman 2 Kota Malang

Pada tahun 2022 menunjukkan permasalahan gigi dan mulut sebanyak 2.192 kasus di daerah Kota Malang (Dinkes Kota Malang, 2023). Masalah Kesehatan gigi dan mulut di Kecamatan Klojen yaitu pada daerah Puskesmas Arjuno dengan tidak adanya sekolah dasar yang melakukan sikat gigi massal. SDN Kauman 02 Kota Malang adalah salah satu sekolah di Kecamatan Klojen Kota Malang yang belum pernah mendapatkan penyuluhan tentang masalah Kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan program untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang gigi berlubang dengan cara sosialisasi, demonstrasi video, dan praktik. Metode dalam pengabdian ini meliputi beberapa tahapan, berupa identifikasi masalah, membuat perizinan ke SDN Kauman 02 Malang, melakukan observasi dan survei lokasi kegiatan, menyusun konsep kegiatan, menyusun kuesioner untuk mengukur pengetahuan sasaran, dan pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan dan praktik sikat gigi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan GAMBIA di SDN Kauman 02 Kota Malang mendapat respon yang sangat baik oleh siswa – siswi kelas tiga, dengan bukti antusiasme mereka dalam mengikuti serangkaian kegiatan yang sudah dirancang. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan kenaikan rata -rata nilai pada pretest dan posttest yaitu dari 76,4 menjadi 78,5 yang merupakan tanda bahwa kegiatan yang kami lakukan berhasil.
