About Mulawarman Agricultural Proceedings

Mulawarman Agricultural Proceedings (MAP) is a scientific proceedings publication dedicated to disseminating research findings, scientific papers, and technological innovations presented at the International Conference on Tropical Agrifood, Feed and Fuel (ICTAFF), organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Mulawarman, Indonesia. MAP provides a platform for the dissemination of scientific contributions related to tropical agrifood systems, livestock, feed resources, bioenergy, agribusiness, and sustainable agricultural development.

Focus & Scope

Mulawarman Agricultural Proceedings publishes scientific contributions associated with ICTAFF and relevant to tropical agrifood systems, agriculture, animal science, feed resources, bioenergy, agribusiness, and sustainable agricultural development. Its thematic scope covers the following areas:

1. Food Security and Resilient Food Systems

This area covers food security and sovereignty, local food systems, rural and urban farming, climate adaptation, food policy, food-system resilience, and preparedness for food-related crises. Contributions may examine strategies to strengthen food availability, accessibility, stability, and sustainability.

2. Smart and Sustainable Agriculture

This area includes sustainable tropical farming systems, precision agriculture, Internet of Things (IoT) applications, digital agricultural technologies, soilless cultivation, climate-smart agriculture, green agricultural inputs, low-emission farming, and innovations that improve agricultural productivity while reducing environmental impacts.

3. Inclusive Agribusiness and Farmer Welfare

This area covers agricultural economics, agribusiness management, agricultural marketing, value-chain development, smallholder empowerment, farmer welfare, youth and women in agribusiness, agricultural extension, innovation systems, rural livelihoods, and inclusive agricultural development.

4. Agroindustry, Food Technology, and Bioeconomy

This area includes postharvest technology, food processing, food quality and safety, functional foods, nutrition, agricultural product development, upstream and downstream integration, agricultural waste utilization, bioenergy, and bio-based products. Contributions may address value addition, resource efficiency, and sustainable agroindustrial development.

5. Biosciences, Livestock, and Halal Systems

This area covers animal science, livestock production and management, animal nutrition, feed resources, animal breeding, animal health and welfare, zoonoses, fisheries, aquaculture, forestry, biodiversity, agroforestry, and halal certification and innovation. Contributions may address sustainable livestock systems, biological resources, animal-source foods, and integrated production systems.

6. Post-Mining Agriculture and Sustainable Land Use

This area includes soil rehabilitation, mine-land reclamation, agricultural development on degraded land, agroforestry, land-use planning, community-based ecosystem restoration, environmental management, and socioeconomic transitions in post-mining areas. Contributions may examine approaches to restoring land productivity and supporting sustainable livelihoods.

Submitted contributions are expected to demonstrate scientific relevance to the scope of MAP and the themes of the corresponding ICTAFF conference edition.

Author Guidelines

Authors must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the submission requirements and formatting instructions established for the relevant MAP proceedings issue. Submissions must be relevant to the Focus & Scope and the theme of the corresponding ICTAFF conference edition.

Plagiarism Policy
