Publication Ethics

Mulawarman Journal of OccupationalSafety and Health (MJOSH) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

🔹 Duties of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
  • Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.
  • Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
  • All authors listed must have made a significant contribution to the research.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
  • If an author discovers a significant error, they must promptly notify the editor.

🔹 Duties of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for deciding which articles should be published.
  • Editors evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit, without discrimination.
  • Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased peer-review process.
  • Editors must not disclose information about submitted manuscripts to anyone except the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher.
  • Editors must avoid conflicts of interest.

🔹 Duties of Reviewers

  • Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions.
  • Reviewers should treat manuscripts as confidential documents.
  • Reviews should be conducted objectively with clear arguments.
  • Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by authors.
  • Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest.

🔹 Publication Ethics Issues

  • Plagiarism in all forms is unacceptable.
  • Data fabrication and falsification are strictly prohibited.
  • Duplicate publication is unethical.
  • Any unethical behavior will result in rejection or retraction of the article.

Mulawarman Journal of OccupationalSafety and Health (MJOSH)) berkomitmen untuk menjaga standar etika publikasi tertinggi serta mencegah segala bentuk malpraktik publikasi. Pernyataan ini mengacu pada prinsip Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

🔹 Tugas Penulis

  • Penulis harus memastikan bahwa karya yang dikirimkan adalah orisinal dan belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya.
  • Setiap sumber atau karya orang lain harus dicantumkan dengan benar.
  • Penulis tidak diperbolehkan mengirimkan naskah yang sama ke lebih dari satu jurnal secara bersamaan.
  • Semua penulis harus memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam penelitian.
  • Penulis wajib mengungkapkan konflik kepentingan.
  • Jika ditemukan kesalahan signifikan, penulis harus segera melaporkan kepada editor.

  • Editor bertanggung jawab dalam menentukan artikel yang layak diterbitkan.
  • Editor menilai naskah berdasarkan kualitas ilmiah tanpa diskriminasi.
  • Editor menjamin proses peer review yang adil dan objektif.
  • Editor menjaga kerahasiaan informasi naskah.
  • Editor harus menghindari konflik kepentingan.

  • Reviewer membantu editor dalam pengambilan keputusan.
  • Reviewer harus menjaga kerahasiaan naskah.
  • Penilaian dilakukan secara objektif dan konstruktif.
  • Reviewer harus mengidentifikasi referensi relevan yang belum dicantumkan.
  • Reviewer wajib mengungkapkan konflik kepentingan.

🔹 Pelanggaran Etika Publikasi

  • Plagiarisme dalam bentuk apapun tidak dapat diterima.
  • Fabrikasi dan falsifikasi data dilarang keras.
  • Publikasi ganda merupakan tindakan tidak etis.
  • Pelanggaran etika akan berakibat pada penolakan atau penarikan artikel.
