Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran Save the Children dalam menangani gizi buruk anak-anak korban konflik di Yaman periode 2015–2022. Konflik bersenjata yang terjadi sejak 2015 memperburuk situasi gizi di negara ini. Dengan metode deskriptif dan analisis kualitatif, penelitian menggunakan teori peran organisasi menurut David Lewis dan definisi gizi buruk dari WHO. Hasil menunjukkan Save the Children memberikan perannya terhadap anak-anak di Yaman sebagai implementer dengan menyediakan bantuan tunai, voucher pangan, distribusi makanan, dan makanan terapeutik siap pakai (RUTF) untuk anak-anak malnutrisi akut. Selain itu, organisasi ini bertindak sebagai catalyst lewat kampanye internasional, advokasi kebijakan, dan penggalangan dana, serta sebagai partner dengan menjalin kerja sama bersama WHO, USAID, dan pemerintah lokal untuk memperluas jangkauan bantuan. Meski menghadapi hambatan seperti akses terbatas, dana kurang, dan risiko keamanan, peran Save the Children cukup signifikan dalam menyelamatkan anak-anak dari gizi buruk.
