Background
Mulawarman International Conference on Tropical Public Health (MICTOPH) is an annual agenda of an international conference organized by the Faculty of Public Health (FKM),Universitas Mulawarman. This activity aims to contain and unite various constructive and comprehensive ideas, ideas, and thoughts that will later become the basis for efforts to solve problems in the field of public health. The first and second MICTOPH have been successfully held in 2022 & 2023 by inviting speakers from 4 countries and involving several universities The previous MICTOPH agenda with the theme "Global Health for Sustainable Forestry Development to Support the New National Capital City (IKN) Transition" was held in a hybrid manner (online and offline) with 338 participants, while the active participants were divided into oral presentations (89 participants) and posters (25 participants).
In its implementation, MICTOPH will raise a theme related to "Uniting Sustainable Future: Mobilizing Climate and Health Equatiy for Achiving SDGs Target". This theme is based on the problems in the era of climate change that are increasingly urgent, it is important for us to unite in an effort to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs). This event aims to examine the relationship between climate and health issues and how they affect each other in achieving equality and sustainability. Through collaboration and dialogue, we hope to find innovative solutions that can support society and the environment at the same time. In the face of increasingly complex global challenges, this conference carries the theme "Unifying a Sustainable Future: Driving Climate and Health Equity to Achieve the SDGs Targets." Climate change and health inequities are two interrelated issues that affect the well-being of people around the world. With a focus on collaboration and innovation, the event aims to strengthen awareness and joint action in creating sustainable solutions. Through in-depth discussions and exchange of ideas, we are committed to identifying concrete steps that can be taken to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ensuring that no one is left behind on the journey to a better and more equitable future.
The MICTOPH is organized in collaboration with the Unes Journal, as an effort to disseminate various research results so that they can be useful in the progress of overcoming issues in the health sector. Unes Journal is a publisher of scientific journals indexed by Scopus. The signing of the MoU between the Faculty of Public Health, Mulawaraman University and the Unes journal is a concrete commitment step in disseminating scientific research ideas and ideas to the international level.
